Building on the tools you developed in the “Journey to Self” workshop, explore Virginia Satir’s models for personal transformation in a powerful group process format.
This program is for anyone who has prior knowledge of Satir’s Human Validation Process and wishes to live it more fully. You will be invited to use your adult perspective to cast a new light on your past experiences broadening your awareness and  understanding. From this new viewpoint you may find appreciation and compassion for who you were, and in doing so, find new choices for the future. You’ll have the opportunity to leave the past in the past, and your present can be approached with fresh eyes and the awareness of what you really want. Finally, others (from past and present) can be seen as fully human, rather than as mere roles.
In this program you can:
  • become your own choice maker
  • choose what fits you, independently from what others think
  • increase your self-esteem, from inside
  • be the author of your life and welcome self-responsibility
  • connect more authentically with yourself and others
  • honor what you yearn for, what the others yearn for, and the context in which all these yearnings can be nurtured simultaneously
  • have fun while making new meanings and understandings
Format:
Satir processes incorporate psychodrama, gestalt, guided imagery, sculpting communication stances, and methods of accessing the unconscious. Work is done in group and in triads.
Graemme, Louise, Emmanuel and Emily trained and worked extensively with the late Maria Gomori, MSW, who was one of the world’s leading practitioner and teacher of Satir processes. The Haven is an affiliate with The Virginia Satir Global Network.
