Join us in a collective exhale of 2020 and inhale a fresh perspective for 2021.   Together, we will find support and vitality through breath and community to transition into the new year.  This 1- day workshop is an opportunity to energize yourself by reviewing techniques you may already be familiar with and to learn new ones too!

Program description, benefits & outcomes:

Breathing, which we usually take for granted, is far more than the unconscious functioning of our autonomic nervous system It is the cord that ties the soul to the body, the movement of spirit in matter.  Breath is the integrating force for the multiple dimensions of our whole-person existence. We can learn to breathe in ways that liberate our self from ingrained restrictions and free our body, mind, soul and emotions to fuel and fertilize fresh new possibilities.

By learning to breathe consciously we can experience a surprisingly wide range of benefits.  Some of the rewards that people have experienced include:

  • Deep relaxation and improved sleep
  • Soothing of anxiety, tension and pain
  • Enlivened energy and sensory enrichment
  • Enhanced presence and spontaneous creativity
  • Shaking up and releasing of physical and emotional restrictions
  • Activation of motivation, intention and clarity of purpose
  • Heightened capacity for interpersonal relatedness – even with those who are distanced physically from us

This one-day workshop is an illuminating introduction to a variety of methods for conscious breathing – no prior experience with meditation, yoga, or breathwork is necessary. It is also an integrative complement for participants who have experienced breathwork at The Haven in Come Alive, Breathe!, Body, Breath & Energy, and others, and are wanting to review, refresh, and renew conscious breathing habits.  Participants will complete the workshop with a breadth of take-home practices and tools to continue to develop beneficial patterns for living well.
